My 3rd Model: The primary weapon

I found this model the hardest.

I started out with a simple cuboid shape, and started cutting some faces. I then extruding some of these faces out, and then beveled the edges to make it look better against the main object. This was then the main piece of my gun.

I then created a cylinder and then made a small barrel for my gun. After i did then, i then cut some faces on the top of my model. Then i created the aiming bit. I extruded out of the new face a little and scaled in a bit, I then did this again, until it made a round half circle shape, I then did this on the other side.

After making the aimer, I decided to make the magazine and trigger. I started off with a cube and and extruded downward with a slight curve to make the magazine. For the trigger i also did the same but on a smaller scale.

I then made a stock, I extruded a little bit out the back of my model, and then extruded up and down from the new shape. I then rounded off the top and bottom of the stock the same way I made my aimer, I extruded and scaled. At the part where the stock met the gun i cut some faces and the extruded the alternate faces in, this made it look like the stock was adjustable.

I then Planar mapped the two sides of my model, and automatic mapped the rest. I placed a dark metal texture. I then placed a black shader on some of the detail to make it stand out against the texture.
